Join us on the farm to learn more about who we are and what we do here at Rippon. Cellar Door tastings are by appointment and free of charge.
Vines and Views
Set against a backdrop of Lake Wānaka and the Southern Alps, we invite you to the Mills family farm to share in our history, community, story and wines. Come join us for a tasting and some conversation. Our Wānaka winery is open by appointment from 11am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Our Cellar Door tastings remain free of charge.
Cellar Door Tastings
Our Cellar Door Tastings are complimentary. We host a maximum of 6 people and these will run for approximately 30 minutes. For ease and accuracy in booking, before selecting the date, ensure you select the correct 'Quantity' of people in your group who wish to taste.
If there are other people who plan to join you for the session
but not taste wines, including children, please list them on the booking form but do not include them in the Quantity.
Private Tastings
For an depth look at our wines and vineyard we offer a private tasting opportunity. These will run for approximately an hour and are $45 per person. Currently private tastings can only be booked on Monday to Friday at 11:00am. For more availability around private tastings please contact us by email.
We require a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 20 people for a private tasting.
Please note our tastings hold a maximum of 6 people and run every half hour. For a more in-depth look at Rippon; the farm, the wines, and the processes behind them, we can offer private tastings for $45 per person.
Frequently Asked
Our Cellar Door Tastings are complimentary. Visitors are welcome to purchase wine or contribute to our habitit restoration in lieu of a tasting fee.
We will charge a $10 no show fee per person in the event you do not attend your tasting. We do not charge for the tasting.
We do not have food available on site during tastings. Our goal is to keep the focus on our wine and build a connection to our place.
In winter, we have an operational pop-up restaurant in the evening outside of tasting hours.

Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled tasting time. You are welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy the property.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate the tasting.
Visitors need a booking to taste wine. We are not open for sightseeing as we are a working farm and residence.
If you are feeling sick or unwell, please let us know so we can reschedule your tasting.
