Let time fade away with the gentle Spanish strings of the classical guitar, masterfully bought to life by the one and only Braden Southee.
Spanish Strings Solstice
Join us in the beautiful Rippon Hall, for an intimate afternoon concert.
We begin where the classical guitar began, in Spain, listening to some of the most beautiful lyrical pieces, contrasted by intricate and subtle works, moving from classicism to romanticism, with the rhythms of Andalusia and reflective poetry in music.
Serenading the evening will be none other than Braden Southee, featured as a classical soloist at the 2025 Dunedin Arts Festival, and acclaimed for his virtuosic, engaging performances. Braden is a devoted authentic musician, and his love for his craft is evident in every note.
With his guidance through storytelling, history, and music, you can expect to lose track of time, and walk away lighter.

“Agile fretwork and a quietly confident stage presence elicited sincere admiration…music performed with simplicity and virtuosity.… the audience delighted in Southee’s deft mastery. Southee’s impressive command of the classical guitar and passionate love for his craft were evident in every note he played”
